Steps to properly cape out your trophy

I know I have been guilty of not properly caping a deer.

I got this from a taxidermist today.

Dont cut yourself short when caping!

and dont cut the throat. If you have to drag the deer don't use a round around the neck as you will damage the hair.

No, they just work the harder at it KIDDING PEOPLE. I take it you read that article in Sunday's paper.

I screwed up a little bit last year - cut up a bit too high into the lower sternum. The taxidermist did a pretty good job fixing it though.
