Flaco reminded me of something when he brought up Moore's Bait contest in Hanson's thread.

Last week, I was going to give good old bob a call about something/product and I looked him up on the Internet. I see he has updated his site since the last time I looked. He has the contest results from most all of the contests from this year. If one did not know Larry or DTRO personaly, one would think the contest is rigged. Man you guys cleaned out this year. Good job on the wins guys. DTRO says his wows about BPCL, but says nothing about his high rankings in Moore's. I see Flaco came in on the ranking as well.

I would think Moore's is more for fun, but your guys had to of won some money.

I was in AH when I was rolling threw those results. You guys cleaned house this year. I also think you guys help him out alot.

thanks for the kind words....

Dtro does do some damage during these events. Funny how it always seems to be in my boat though... wink.gifI work to keep up with him. More and more people have been getting involved in these contests which makes it more competitive and lots of fun when you can ring and text others to see how the bite is.

Moore's puts on a great show and any who have participated probably would agree.

Last one of the season is coming up and everyone is invited.

Hopefully I can get back into the money this time around. It's been a fun year doing these contests. I've put fish on the board most of the time but either just miss the cut or get blown away by Team Dtro/Flatcaster. I'm already looking forward to next years contests. Its too bad Cattin' is coming to a close soon, time just flew by. My 14ft boat is back and is ready for action.(too late for this year tongue.gif) Hogs Mod-V is up and running good now. We'll be all over the place. No more running around in the 12 foot jon boat with six horses.(Unless its needed during low water periods) Man, the couple times we used that boat in the contests it took a long time to get back to the landing after an all nighter way down stream! crazy.gif Lookout in '08 team Dtro/Flatcaster....LOL. grin.gif

Larry and Darren are both great fishermen.. and to top it off are blessed with an incredible amount of luck when it comes to the cat contest. They both hit the water so much and stay on top of the current bite.. they are really tough to beat.

The sturgeon contest on the other hand... I'll try my best to keep my passengers taking Larry and Darrens money! My contest luck sucks, but my passengers faired well last year.

It's all about time on the water. Spend enough time on the water, you can semi-predict what the fish will be doing, add a competitive fuel that makes a person wait for a bite for 12hrs or more and good things can happen.

We could be in big trouble for the last contest as I haven't been cattin in days.

Which reminds me, Moores will also be hosting a Sturgeon contest that is an absolute blast!

Put on your NASA suit, grab the grill and some grub and soak some Shad. Catch a big fish and win some dough.

What I might do is give it back to Bob Moore and then you can get it when you register for the next contest. That might be the best idea. Let me know what you want to do.

Sounds like preperation and opportunity to me....I'll try not blow any more smoke.
