There are some plain unpainted jigs at Bass Pro. Another style unpainted for tube jigs with a rattle chamber. If your willing to buy them painted they come in a package with soft plastics(grubs etc.)

Alot of people say that they think that its blood, but red is the the 1st color on the spectrum, that dissapears underwater. I'm guessing that the reason fish "like them better" is because they cant see them as good. I fish red hooks almost exclusivly. Thats my guess. smirk.gif Oh I fish northland glow jigs, they have red hooks, love em.

You are partly correct. The red will be the first color on the spectrum to disapear as long as light can filter it out. That means that it must be transparent, like a monofilimant line. If it is a solid metal like a hook light will not be able to filter it out, and actually making it more visible. This is why the new blood raps are such a big hit, along with the cajun red mono line. I like the concept behind the Cajun Red, however the line needs a lot of work as far as durability and consistancey. smirk.gif
