Lowrance Help??

Central Bassman

Question

Ok here is the problem I’m having. I have a Lowarnce 334c that is about a little over a year old. I have been having a lot of problems with the sonar part of it. The GPS is working great and I haven’t had any problems with it seen it been updated.

The problem I’m having is that it won’t read the depth. I can’t even get a Gray line or anything like that. It will show the depth sometimes but then i till just start flashing. If it does read the bottom all it has is a black line and sometimes a few colors makes?? I have playing with the sensitivity the ping speed and all that stuff...Any Ideal???? confused.gif

I would bet it is x-ducer. If you know somebody with the same unit, try it on their boat, hooked to their x-ducer. Would be easy fix if that is it, and it was for my bro-in-law and once for us. Good luck!

Try a Soft Reset.

With the unit turned off, push & hold the 'Pages' button in. Then push & hold the 'Power' button in. When the unit starts up and the map of the USA appears, release both buttons.

You will not lose any waypoints.

Central bassman>> there are previous post on here if you look for them with i think the same problem your having.i believe you said you updated it? if you did the update is the problem and you need to find an older version to put back on your unit..i know someone on here probably has it for you.Lowrance wont admit that there latest updates had some problems and one of them is the unit reading the bottom so check that out...

Check this link if you did the update or are running version 1.7 or 1.8 software you are probably having a software issue not a transducer problem.
