kingr
I've got some money burning a hole in my pocket and I'm having a hard time deciding between a range finder or a trail cam. I'd use the rangefinder primarily for bowhunting as i don't hunt out west at all. Thanks guys
harvey lee
I have used both and I would go with the trailcamera. With the camera you can see what is in the area and what time they are traveling by. I use my range finder very little and almost not at all. I will use it if I'm in a new stand location and range to a trail or tree. before I had the range finder, I would measure the distance by foot to my tree. Sometimes I will also mark my 20 & 30 yard areas with trail tape. One might also just mark with trail tape the 30 yard so you will know if a deer is farther out. Most if not all of my shots inside the woods are within 25 yards.
slimngrizzly
Trail Cam for sure!!! I have both and never use the rangefinder! But the Trail Cams... Im just as hooked trying to get good pics of the deer as I am hunting them. It helps calm the craving for this year round addiction.
TrophyEyes
I would just get a Cuddy Back and forget the range finder. Now I have a similar problem, but mine is between Binoculars or a Trail Cam. I have old Bino's that are terrible. I have actually been using my scope rather than the bino's because it is much clearer. What to get? I really like the Nikon Monarchs.
