Tippman
Anyone subscribe to this? Is it helpful and accurate?
Daze Off
Yes and yes - saved me a a soaking on a few occasions already and helps to know how long you will be under the overpass waiting out a storm. Lots of great features. If you do it don't program it for the "alert me" deal when there is a warning or watch - it charges you for each time it calls you.Daze Off
DTro
I subscribe to MyCast. Probably the best money I've spent in a long time. 3.99/month with lots of goodies and very detailed animated radar. Not only that, but a local company.
Central Bassman
I have no ideal on what you are talking about?? More information please??
guide2live
I use it everyday on and off the water, it works very well. I have found it to be just like real radar, however, the "hourly forcast" seems to be off sometimes, just like every weather station

lotsofish
I don't know what the ESPN fishing forcast is, but I have the T-Mobile web on my phone and I use Weather Underground Mobile for weather updates and radar all the time.
Tippman
It is a service you subscribe to on your cell phone via internet. It contains current radar, forecast, current barometer with trend, and feeding time tables plus more. I know the radar and barometer would really help me on fishing trips because I don't have access to tv or internet readily most the time. It would be helpful for hunting also. Daze Off
It really helps to be able to check out local radar when you are on the water and the skies appear threatening. ESPN features include a lightening map where it will show you the location of any lightening strikes in your area.I am really looking forward to using it up north on vacation next week when I am "blind" without good access to TV reports and radio reports are spotty at best. All you have to do is type in either a city name or zip code and it will give you the weather info. You can't zoom in to street level detail or anything - closest mine gets is probably a 50-75 mile radar image surrounding my location. When I was over in Door County WI I found it impossible to get reception for it though but I could get reports for there from here. Conclusion was that since I was on Extended Network the service was not available to me.I can also get a fish weight with measurements and I think even record 5-6 fish weights in memory.I think this costs $6.99/mo and you can cancel at any time w/o penalty/charge. I'm going to cancel in October and restart in March/April - don't do anything outdoors during those months so no need for it.Daze Off
Questor
Between weather.com and intellicast wind maps on the web I get all the weather info I need for a day of fishing.
Daze Off
I don't have a phone with web acccess and there is no web access for a laptop at the resorts we stay at up north - have to drive to town for WIFI.....Daze Off
DTro
3.99/mo for MyCast and it does the same stuff. Better resolution on the radar too I bet (Just a guess). I've tried most of them, but not ESPN and MyCast has been the best for the price.

Daze Off
I crowed about how good ESPN Fishin' Forecast was and then I could not get it again while on vacation up near Walker because I was on Extended Network rather than Verizon. I could/can read it all day long from here about up there but while there I could not get a reading. Ticked me off as that was one of the reasons I got it.Other time was a month ago when I was over salmon fishing in Wisconsin - same deal with Extended Network.Daze Off
marine_man
Anytime you're in the "extended network" on verizon you won't be able to get any of the get it now apps... at least that's been my experience...Pretty frustrating!marine_man
