fellowx
The white bass were biting early season in April. How's the bite now. Haven't been on the river since then. Ain't nothing like getting on a school of aggressive white bass, cast after cast. They do put up some pretty good fights. Anyone run into them lately? ikeslayer
it has just started to heat up on lake zumbro i am sure it won't be long and things will be really good down there if they haven't gotten good already. Nothing like getting into a school when you can see them busting shad on the surface. Good times. ike

french_lake_kid
I've had 2 encounters lately, both in lakes, 1 on tetonka, dropshotting a berkley power minnow. The other was with a buddy on a chatterbait. I dont know if that helps, probly not cuz 1 was shallow & the other deep, in 2 different lakes. sry I couldn't be more helpful... Muddog
Nothing slams a crankbait like a White Bass. You think a 10 pounder was on the end of your line. Run into a school of 17" White Bass and hold on tight. I've been running into White Bass from the time of the weed die off on Tetonka. I don't care what you say, that is a beautiful looking fish. fellowx
TeTonka sounds like a really nice lake.. If only it wasn't so far from the metro area. I always thought white bass were only in the rivers and streams. Years ago a young lady was fishing at Phalen and I could not believe my eyes. She was catching White Bass using Rooster Tail. She said she catches them there all the time.. My cousin and I were shocked. I wouldn't of believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
