Bullhead Minnows (little guys...whatever they are called)

If I were able to catch about 2-300 bullhead minnows in one scoop, would I be able to set something up to grow these things until they were 5-7 inches? OK maybe if I just took like 100 (probably easier). And how long would it take to get to the preferred size? And most importantly is this legal? I saw a little pond with what I think were thousands of bullheads swimming in groups of 2-300.

Wooduck is right.

If they were 3inchs when you caught.

Feeding lets say every three weeks with Crappie minnows.

Clean water weekly.

Filter media.(change once every 2 weeks)Ammonia the silent killer)

Electric for running air pumps and Filters.

You are looking at around a 1 to 1.5 years to get them to 7inch. Under the best scenario) They grow rather slow in captivity. Do to limitations in food supply.

Cost of the supplies for 100 bullies would not be worth the effort.

$30 a month for minnows X 18 months $540 Unless you get a really good deal and or catch them yourself.

I guess I don't need to go any further.

yep, and not only that, but under 7" are considered minnows, so the bullhead limit doesn't apply, it reverts to the minnow possesion limit, which I think is 20 dozen, so 240.

Possesion limit is 24 dozen, or 288 minners.
