Jay Cooke State Park Info needed

Greetings fellow fisherman. I'm looking for information on fishing the river/stream system in Jay Cooke State Park. 4 buddies and I are going to be camping there next late spring early summer and we are planning on doing a lot of fishing during our time there. I am one of those guys that needs to plan however and need some info. I guess I really don't care about what type of fish we catch but it would be fun to get into some brookies or perhaps a rainbow or three. Otherwise just general fishing information would be helpful. If anyone has any information on which of the hike in campsites are the best for fishing i'd really appreciate it.

there are trout streams in the area, but i have never had great success, i would target bass in the st louis system for the best action. otherwise there is a guide to northern MN trout streams you can pick up at fly shops and bait shops, then you could do some exploring and find a stream with a trout or two in it.

Our whole family really enjoyed the park. We had a lot of fun but didn't fish a whole lot. As far as the fishing goes, there are a lot of Smallmouth Bass in the river. It is a beautiful river but it is also very fast.

not to many trout in c-town,if you look hard you can find some in the general area. as for up here grab that trout book and take a drive. if you din't know i grew up in crookston fishing the river.

Why not aim for some Wallys and Smallies. The St. Louis river is awesome for them. Fish down river from the dam over by the hatchery.

Fish above the 23 bridge and you will get lots of smallies, walleye and a few pike, Muskie maybe.
