I fianally came across the famous Minnesota state flower!! ...happy happy! ...only 6 miles from my house here in Hibbing...only 2 plants but maybe more in the area.I noticed the flowers are starting to "degrade" so it would have been nice to catch thse 2 flowers a week or so ago....but still nice just to find em

Thanks all!....maybe next year I can get some "real" photos ....of the flowers in their "finest" display...geesh.gotta wait a whole year .....I looked up showy lady slippers on the net and found they live for 50-100 years!,amazing!....anyways,here's where I found the slippers....beyond that tree laying in the water down the shoreline....about 5' from the waters edge....my secret spot
