Since unicel bought alltel, they did some changing of towers and we don't get some of our calls. If someone calls and does not leave a voice mail we would not know if we had a call. Some voice mail have came a late as 3 days to 2 hours. I have call c.s. and get the run around that I am getting my call. Not very happy about it and they say that I signed a contract. Yes I say but not with unicel. I could have a number of cell phone companies that don't have service where I need it. mad.gif

I know that Alltel bought out Midwest Wireless here in southern MN. Not sure about this Unicel outfit, although I saw it advertised here in town but assumed it was the old Cellular One.

I was just on Unicel's home page and it looks like they bought Alltel in MN. The Razor V3M is one of the phones offered by them. I believe the company is called Unicel Extranet. I guess I'm still with Alltel here in SD.

Unicel bought the former Alltel (Cellular One) markets in southern MN. This was part of the deal of Alltel buying Midwest Wireless, they had to sell the overlapping markets in order for the deal to go through. When Unicel bought the markets all of the current customers in those markets go with the towers. My guess would be that it is easier for them to swap out your phone instead of removing and reprogramming all of the Alltel specific programming/features.
