fishmark 480 battery

What battery do you run your finder off of? I'm thinking of getting a small mower battery or something similar. How long will they run on a small battery? I've been unable to find how much current they draw anyplace so far. What do you use?

If your finder is "permanently" mounted in your boat, just run it off your starting battery. Otherwise, I would pick up a 12v "Vexilar" type battery. I don't know about your particular finder, but I can run my Lowrance X67c off a 7aH battery for a few days generally.

In a pinch, any 12v battery would work, but the "Vexilar" type will be your cheapest option, and that is what they're made for.

I run my FishMark 480 off of the 7 amp battery I got with my Clearwater Classic in 1995. In fact, I mounted it on the holder so the battery and graph are all together. With that old of a battery I can get a full day of use. I don't know if it would go 2 days since I always recharge it after use.

Soldon try going to menards,get the 1 mil spot light for 10 bucks take that batt.they work great for portables around 20 hrs run time for me,12 hr charge time back in light.Heck get two.

Thanks, everyone who replied with ideas. It sounds like they don't take that much power. I was running the finder and trolling motor off the same batteries until the finder started kicking out. Very annoying, so I want to get a small one just for the finder. Very much appreciate the tips. Now I'll see what I can find.

They have 2 amp fuses so they use less than 2 Amps
