“i am trying to download the latest update for my ifinder pro. during the download process it tells me i don't have the right java (jre) platform on my computer. i went to java's HSOforum and tried to download the latest version but it says i allready have it?? do you have any ideas???”

Best way to do this is to tell him to register, we'll be happy to help him.

There was a post about this not long ago, I think the latest version of java won't work, you need to go 1 or 2 versions earlier to match up to the installer.

Go to Reed's in Walker, they will update it for free!

Have him go here and update his JRE (Java Runtime Environment)

JRE Update

Restart his computer, then re-run the installer from the Lowrance HSOforum.
