I got the 28cHD this year and although I've only been out a handful of times this spring, I really like it. It's the first color graph I've owned and it does look a lot better than the monochrome that I had before, although that wasn't that bad either (X-15). The large screen is nice for when you split screen GPS and sonar.

I don't believe there is any difference between the 28 and the 27, other than the hard drive which comes in the 28 and is preloaded with the MapCreate maps and the ability to store more data. I was going to get the 27 but they weren't available at the time so I ended up with the 28. Nice graphs.

I also just bought the 28cHD this year, and totally love this unit. it is so easy to read for bottom content and fish signal strenght. the GPS is nothing less than awesom. I bought the lakemaster chip with the unit also.

2 Thumbs Up!

I don't have the X-27, but do have the smaller 334c, and absolutely love it. X-27 is a much bigger screen and the unit I would have purchased if I had the money.

I have last year's X-25C, which is basically the X-27 with a name change, and I love the graph. Not too big, not too small and easily viewable in all conditions and from a distance in the boat.
