can anybody out there tell me if the king salmon in lake superior run to the ocean or do they stay in the lake

They stay in the Lake and run into the rivers in the fall to spawn.

C'mon guys, it's certainly possible. Not that it happen's, but where there is a will there is a way. We get 800' ships in from the ocean and they manage their way thru to Duluth.

Salmon in Lake Superior are stocked or have been stocked. Natural reproduction happen's in the tributaries on each lake. For more information look up the Wisconsin DNR HSOforum and do a few searches.

BTW, anyone heard of an Atlantic Salmon

No, it is not possible for a salmon or any other fish to get to the ocean from Superior.

When the Asian Carp are in Michigan, which they probably already are. Where did they come from. Certainly not ballast water.

Sure, its possible. I have caught eels in the st.louis river...they come from the ocean. It is just highly unlikely that salmon would come up that far.
