Roz, I remodled my old boat last winter. Are you talking watercraft stickers or the brand name decals? I ground my alumacraft stickers off with a wire brush and then sanded the whole boat to repaint as a camo duck boat. I used a putty knife to scrape the registration stickers and numbers off. hope I could help.

For $4 bucks a bottle that stuff called Goo Gone really does the trick for me! Worth a try before taking a wire brush to any paint and metal. Maybe take a razor blade and gently score the decals first and let the "goo" seep in underneath it.

They were the old registaration/ID # stickers. I heated them up and scraped them off. I am planning on painting my boat camo this summer. Any advice would be great. It is a 14 foot Lund/silver aluminum boat. No paint on it. Thanks

Great, you got the decal/vinyl portion off. Most leave a portion of their glue/adhesive behind. The cheapest thing to use to get the glue off is mineral spirits or paint thinner, keeping a rag very wet, and a lot of elbow grease.
