Poor refs

What a sad bunch of refs. They could not control the kindergardan class. How much times did they favor the Ducks and let them get away with anything.

Its to bad Boogard didnt play more to stop the foolishness. The refs are lucky no one was hurt bad.

The Wild beat the pants of the Ducks tonight and took them to school.

I agree the refs let it get that way but you've got to blame the ducks also. There is a differnce between chippy and flat out cheap. Kunitz pulls Burns hair in game 3, I mean what is that? Then at the end of this one Hall is in a straight up fair fight in which their guy dropped the gloves first and one of the Ducks skates the length of the ice to be the third man in. Add to that as this is going on May sucker punches Johnson. May had also punched Boogaard earlier with no call but of course won't drop the gloves. May could fight back in the day but is washed up now.

None of the ducks will drop them with Boogard....they all saw him break Fedoruk's face earlier in the year.

Harvey Lee,

What time of the year is Zebra hunting start?

I could have bagged three of those (Contact Us Please) tonight!

I wish that I was 50lbs lighter and 20 years younger so I could have been.................Oh sorry guys I drifted off to sleep there and was dreaming.

But them (Contact Us Please) refs must have been brothers of Stevie Wonder, oh if they could only sing! Both of those Duck players better be suspended for the remainder of the series!

We could have a Wild game feed with Zebras and Ducks!

GO WILD

Fish On!!!

lots of bad calls last night. Veilleux going to the penalty box after he was punched in the side of the face. Radivojevic- goal not allowed for his skate in the crease (you cant call that anymore anymore). Brad May and Thornton both should be suspended for a few games especially May for the sucker punch. Don't remember who layed the check from behind on Walz, horrible referring last night.

Well there was alot of bad calls last night, its a good thing it didnt cost us the game in the end, But lets hope johnson is ok! I think the wild won the game last night because they were more aggressive, getting in their goalies face, and protecting backstrom more, in which they werent doing in the first three games. I think the wild just got under their skin after finishing their checks more and playing a little rougher, and the ducks got frustrated and played poorly! It makes for a fun game to watch when the refs swallow their whistles, but they need to do it evenly, and call some of the severe shots, or it will get out of hand. I think the new refs wont let this happen in game 5, and there is to much on the line for the wild to go out and look for revenge. There should be a couple game suspensions after last nights game, and Im sure some fines handed out. I think burns is going to be fun to watch this guy has some guts, and some good swings also!

I will leave the refs alone for now cause everyone else has pointed out what they did wrong..As for the Wild, they have found a way to get to the ducks and beat them...Now it got out of hand last night but I think the Wild have a great chance now to step up and win this series if they keep playing tough and going to the net. When the ducks get upset they are useless...The Wild play great when things get tough...The next game will be good and I know the commissioner will be watching the reffering also....Which should keep things in control and the Wild will know what to do to win...Now they need to do it.

They've been getting screwed all series (all season for that matter) with calls but last night was just ridiculous. Hopefully Johnnson is ok and maybe all of that cheap, cowardly Ducks play and the one-sided officiating will just pump the Wild up even more.

I hear that!

Suspensions of marginal players only do so much, Brad May for a lost Kim Johannson is not equal. Power plays as a result of antagonistic play, which Boogaard excels at drawing, are the key. Plus, I wouldn't mind seeing Boogey lay down the law, if you will!

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
