Snapped Transducer

Standard Eagle/Lowrance transducer snapped during my outing yesterday. Basically broke off right at the pin. Has anyone successfully epoxied these back together. Or is is a waste of my time?

Funny, same thing happened to me today on my bow mount. I used epoxy on it tonight. I will let you know how well it held. I have my doubts that it will hold throughout the summer.

I did the same thing last year. I had to get a new one. It was a pain because I had to fish the wire all the way to my dash.

What does it look like and which type is it ? I might have a couple transducers with no mount here.

I am looking at a HS-WSX here in front of me.

I'm suprised (ok, a little anyway since you run the river) that it snapped as compared to flipping up and out of the way.

Did you have the rubber washers installed and not overtigtened so it could flip up when it hit something?

Actually I have a small 14ft alum boat, and the cord runs through one of the handles in back. I think a stick got caught up in the cord loop as I was snaking around in a small creek.

I'll try to epoxy it, then buy a new one I guess if that don't work.

well, I tried some marine epoxy. Seems to be holding very good. Next test is the water.
