The Office of Budget and Management (wife) approved the purchase of a new fishing boat, so selling the old one.

PRICE: $2900 b/o

THE GOOD:

*1982 Lund Pro Rebel, 16 ft, 3 chairs, lockable rod locker, live well, bilge pump, running lights, lots of bow storage, rod holders, anchor mate crank and anchor. All functional. Just replaced the floor and rear pedestal this month.

*50hp Merc, elec start, tilt/trim, tiller (seals replaced before 2006 season; new ignition switch in 2005 because I snapped an old key off; has been mechanically reliable and trolls down very nicely; I drain out the lower unit fluid every fall.)

* EZ Loader trailer (roller). Bearings replaced before 2006 season.

* 40pd minnkota bow mount elec trolling motor. (Brand new/ never used. Swapped out from new boat) Two 3-prong plug ins for bow mounted trolling motor.

* 36pd minnkota transom mount trolling motor, 2 years old. Brass posts in transom for easy connection wired to bow stored battery.

* Lowrance X-71 depth finder. Has a flasher mode and will give you the battery pack that allows use for ice fishing.

Comes with 3 batterys - one rear, two under bow - along with a dual battery charger for easy recharging.

* custom cover, marker holder and 3 markers will stay with the boat, along with a minnow bucket, landing net, extra prop, fire extinguisher and landing line.

THE BAD:

*Paint job isn't terrible, but definitely shows the boat's age

*the switch for the running lights needs replaced. The switch came off in the "on" position, so the lights come on when light poles are inserted, so never bothered me.

* A bulb on the trailer needs to be replaced, which I will try to do before I sell it.

* The trailer hitches securely to the ball (1 7/8), but became finicky at the end of last season. If it does not come down directly over the ball, the internal clasp will not slip past the ball. It's an annoyance at this point that will need to be fixed, but I am not likely to have time to do it.

* trailer shows surface rust.

I am an Army Reservist mobilized for one-year to Ft. McCoy, WI. Fortunately, I make it home to St. Cloud most weekends. Won't make it home this weekend, but will be home on leave 16-18 next week. Will snap some pictures at that time.

Despite its age, this boat has been very reliable for me. I have owned it for 6 years. It's ready to go. All you need is your tackle, bait and poles.

Guys thanks for the interest. Been a little hectic around here. Will be returning calls and emails tomorrow night when I get off duty and will try again throughout the weekend if I don't get you tomorrow night.
