This labs from team 8... I gotta a couple of tips and inside pointers...

I heard that kazoos are the latest rage for the fly down call and a feather duster on a slinky are all you need for a decoy! There, that oughta level the playing field... 1st timers always get their bird in the 1st 10 minutes of their season... or didn't you read that far in the rule book yet? Us veterens need to equalize the competition that's been fielded! hehehe I batted a hundred the 1st 4 years and have gone o-fer the last two... thought it was easy... now I'm just lookin' to get the tail out from between my legs! (shhhh don't tell Joel Nelson that though... I think I got him running scared!)

Seriously, what zone and season? Maybe some of us can help out with a little more specifics...

First off, where are you going to hunt? What season are you hunting? Do you have land all locked up?

Hey guys them white turkeys count and they flock up by the hundreds and blaze camo is the key to sucessfull hunt.

I'm hunting Wi. Zone 38 , around Webster I'm told - 4/25-4/29 . My hunting partner has a friend who lives in the zone we are going to hunt . He'll give us a few areas to try and I just read an article last night on hunting pressured Turkeys , so I got that going for me .

Musky and I have big shoulders, but man, to carry the weight for 5 is gonna be tough. Although, it wont be that tough to crush the competition...

Hi Guys:I'll help you carry some of the load! I'll be hunting SD in 3 weeks and then in Wisconsin in zone 2 and then in Mn. down around Sacred Heart on the Minnesota river bottoms.

I'm sure I will tag a bird or 2 in SD. Those Merriams are a lot easier to take than an Eastern.I'm on good land both in Wis. and in Mn. so my chances should be fairly good of tagging a bird, though you never know with these darn birds!

No, it shouldn't be too tough with your method of hunting BLB. There are so many DUMB turkeys running around you don't even need camo or any calls, but I do know your secret.. LOL

Finally some words of reason. Even the best turkey hunters get stumped from time to time. I love seeing the trash talking however; it will provide ample verbage to quote after some folks strike out!

Some of these others are trying to lead you into the wrong direction. I hope that following is a useful tip.

Be Very Quiet out there until you see one. If you see one yell "THERES ONE OVER HERE"! before it gets close enough to shoot.

I didnt realize turkeys like to be scratched under the chin like dogs did. Then to strangle it and put your tag on it, thats just not right.

I am hunting 240E along with my Dad, nephew and my 10 year old son. Gotta love the fact they opened it up for the youngins to hunt!
