Sorry I don't know, I was trying to look online as well for specs and couldn't find them. I saw that smokercraft didn't have a number you could call on their web site either. It's not the thin lightweight version though, appears comparable to a friends alumacraft in the 70's lb range. I'm sure it could be done for someone putting in enough legwork, feel free to post so everyone knows if you find it.

The only time I really go to the cities is going through to Rochester, and I would rather not drag it that far in the back of my Ranger unless it was sold. If you ever go north I'm right off Hwy 10 in St. Cloud.

i'm interested, but was wondering if that is a decent canoe to take into the bwca. I'm not familiar w/ canoes but last year i took aluminum ones in and they weren't heavy at all. Is 17ft. average or too big?

Just an update....

I asked the person I'm holding it for to send some money to continue holding it for them another two weeks until they can get here. If this does not work out for some reason I've had enough other e-mails that I would consider it sold, once again I will post once it's gone for sure.

OK folks I can't believe this is still for sale????? This is an awesome boat for the price. It built to last and anybody at all in the market for a canoe should be seriously considering this. I have seen it first hand it is still rock solid and vary stable for size. BWCA, yes I would take it there but of course how many times have you gone and you always bring everything except the kitchen sink. Well now you can because this is big enough to take big waters with gear and not worry about swamping compared to your typical 14' canoe. If I was in the market I would buy it. Just look any were for a 14-16' in the clasified paper and you couldn't touch this for the same price.

Ha ha thanks the the plug MR. I have never weighed the canoe but am guessing it weights in the upper 70's. The canoe has been the the boundary waters before (notice the yoke)and does as well as other aluminum canoes, which of course can't be compared to kevlar or royalex. My primary use for it now is a river runner which is what it will remain if not sold.
