Case for Older Bow

I've got an older compound bow that I use for bowfishing. I'm having a problem finding a case that it will fit in because today's bows are tiny compared to this sucker. The bow is just shy of 49" long. I did find one case at Cabela's, but there is no way I am spending $180 on a case for this bow.

Does anyone know where I could find a case that this bow would fit in? My e-mail address is in my profile if you don't want to mention names on here.

does it have to be a hard side because they make softer bag styles. Just a thought because I have one for my older bow too.

No, a soft one will work, but I still can't find a long enough one.

I think I know the 49" case referred to. It is 49" outer length--you'd be lucky to get a 47.5" bow inside it.

I don have just a cheap zip-up cover thing, but it doesn't offer any protection at all.

I would make one out of wood. 1" X 4" or 6" and mortice in 1/8" plywood. Quick trip to the hardware store for some hinges and a handle and some stain and your set. $30 and you have a durable case.
