Phunnyfarm
How about 2 50" muskies...totalling 100" of musky. You may have to fish night and day for quite a while, but it's "for the kids"! I don't know who could argue that and still sleep at night!
icehousebob
You guys are forgetting the most important fishing item of all. Bring 100 bottles of Germany's finest. Then, for music class, they could learn to sing'"A hundred bottles of beer on the wall." That song is a real classic. Seriously, the plastic worms or grubs would be the best. vikingmeatwad
I would use the plastic grubs, don't get Exude though because they have lead in them for some reason.
Deitz Dittrich
I believe all plastics have a very small amount of Lead in them... Exude is just one of the few that actually puts it on the package. I believe the lead is in the coloring? I could be wrong. I'm going to send off an e-mail to someone who knows.. hopefully will get back to you.
Deitz Dittrich
I by no means wanted to hijack this thread... but just to inform.. I sent a letter to the regional sales manager of Exude plastics... here is the reply I got from him regarding lead in plastics. Quote:Deitz -First off, the sticker is mandatory in the state of California. If itsnot on there, you get fined. I don't want it to sound like everyone isgetting fined all the time because that is definitely not the case.Generally, the lawyers in California wait until someone with deeppockets breaks this type of law. Then, they file a class action lawsuiton the behalf of some "concerned citizens".We have to put the sticker on everything because: If we sell ourproducts to a shop in Oregon (where the stickers are not required) forexample, and they go out business and sell their inventory to a shop inCalifornia, we would be in violation of the law if our products were notstickered. Crazy as it sounds, that is how things work. Anyone who doesnot put a sticker like this on their packaging is playing Russianroulette with their company. Now, for the reason why our products contain lead. Plastic, as youprobably know, is a petroleum product. All pertroleum products contain asmall amount of lead. There's no getting around it. You've probablynoticed before, but tackle boxes are notorious for having the sticker onthem. If you really want to get technical, plastic toys have lead inthem too.Mepps has lead in their products as well. Pure brass is too brittle tomachine. To make it more machinable, brass is combined with lead.Machinable brass generally contains 3% lead.I hope I answered your question for you.Michael
minnow_03
What about Gulp baits that are water based, they wouldn't have lead in them. They are very stinky if you handle them though.
paulinraymondville
My 5yr old girl just had there 100th day today. The wife put together 100 picture collage. Mostly of her being in the outdoors with us fishing. She loves it.
Big Dave2
Thanks Deitz for taking the time to get that information. I think the kids probably wont touch the stuff if its in a jar or something but I could be wrong.
