Otter Problems

bmeier

Question

I decided to get another otter house after have mt lodge for 4 years and loving it. Unfortunately I have hadnothing but problems tryinng to get my new den set up. When I got it home I found out that the plastic trim peices on the bottom thahold the canvas to the se were sewn on backwards.Called and they sent me a replacement, no problems. But now on my firsttime out I see that one of the windows hs cracked. Has Otter quality gone way down hill? Anyone have any ideas about how to fix the window?

I would say call Otter again. Otter has been nothing short of top notch in quality and customer service. Its gotta be very rare to get 2 defective items from them, but then again, the Den isn't the most popular item, so I can see how it may happen.

Let them know you've got another problem and I'm sure they will make it better.

They will take care of you. The plastic windows can get touchy when cold out. I have a hole in one of mine I am not sure how it got there but I picked up some clear duct tape and put a piece on each side and it is good to go.

Actually all the major portable coverings (canvas or whatever) come from China now. Otter finally had to switch over to keep the price down with the competitors who were already bringing theirs from over there.
