I just got one and I am looking at getting another. In the one I have 9 rods and reels and different tackle boxes. I can also carry my GPS in one pouch and my phone in the other. On the side I can carry my scoop. In the other bag that attaches I have 2-Beaver Dam tip up and a frabil round style also. This baby can hold the gear. The pouch that carries my rods I took golf tubes and cut them the correct lenght and place each rod in a tube. This really helps protect my rods.

Very nice unit for the price.

There are 2 pouches on the front bag that can be removed from the rod bag that are 4x8 and approx 1.60 inched deep. So a box 4x6x1.50 should fit. As long as the tackle box is not thicker than approx 1.50 inches you should be good to go.The back straps to carry it like a back pack are very well padded. If you look in the Sponsor Showcase forum there is a thread on Ready Rig backpacks and you might also want to take a look at it. You could also put your tackle boxes in the front bag where I put my tip ups as this is a pretty good sized bag.I tried one of my small tackle boxes that is 4.5x8x1.5 and it was just a tick to wide. I believe a 4x6x1.5 should be fine.

The ready rig bag is a very good one... I want one.. but not till I can come up with a better idea than the golf tubes. I may try to fabricate some sort of hard plastic lexan or something instead?... I like bob have a Stone Legacy and love it, I do wish they made a larger version of the revolution.. I have too many rods smile.gif

I won the Croxton 8-ice combo bag with the built-in vexilar case at a fishing derby at school last year. I carry my vex, 3 tackle boxes, 4 rods, 2 tip-ups and 3 spools of line in it without any problems, 2 of the tackle boxes, the line, and the tip-ups are all in seperate pockets. Also only 2 rods are in the same compartment together. I love mine and would never go back to the old hard-sided ones I used to use.

harv- I dont like the tube deal because you have to do something with the line. IE wrap it around the base of the reel or something because the line gets in the way of putting it in a tube. I have a few ideas in my head.. just not sure how hard it would be to make.. ect.

and please, dont get me wrong. I think the idea of the bag is aweome.. I love the layout and the storage built in.. I am a clutz and would break the rods without the tubes or something like it.

I've got a good modification idea that I use for storing my rods in Nature vision rod sabre's and then in my Revolution, that keeps the line in place and not touching any of the plastic in the tube. Shoot me an email with your telephone number if you're interested, and I'll call whoever emails me. It's a little hard to explain in writing.
