I ain't much into musicals --- don't remember Guys and Dolls or The Music Man and very little of Oklahoma (just what the heck IS a surrey with a roof on top anyway?)and what was that other one about an insland or the sea or something? Bali High? --- and I think the furthest I go back is seeing The Sound of Music at the theater in Maywood, ILL (the Lido????)

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but after reading some of Tank's quotes today, I had to comment.

One of Tank's quotes.

"I realize people buy into stereotypes," he said. "I'm young. I'm black. I have tattoos. So it's easy to stereotype me and put me into a category. ... When you see me walking down the street, I don't look like you. I don't talk like you. I don't walk like you. So it's easy to say, 'He's just like the other people.'

No Tank. It was the 3 arrests in 18 months, the probation violations, the fighting with the cop, the half dozen guns with 550 rounds of ammo in the house, the body guard being shot outside a nightclub while in your company, etc., that got you stereotyped. A person of any color would have been considered a thug with that track record.

It sure would have been nice if he just stood up and said, I did it. I am at fault for whatever anyone thinks of me.

I loved that movie! I think it was Robert Morse and his wife catches the woman in bed with him and he keeps saying "What woman", "Who", "Where"? It cracked me up. As for Tank, he can help us win the Super Bowl, celebrate with the team, get his ring and then fade into history as the Bears cut him next year. You might see him pop up in Oakland or Cincinnati or maybe on a "Love Boat" up in the Land of 10,000 lakes, who knows. But until then, you are right, deny, deny, deny and as Al Davis said.....JUST WIN BABY! (or was that Barry Switzer) who knows, who cares...
