Northlander
The question was raised to me the other day. "What is the most important piece of equipment you bring out with you on the ice"? I thought about it for a second and my reply was pretty simple to me. "My Nils Auger" I replied. It could be argued that a quality Ice Auger is the most important part of your ice fishing gear but you cant catch the fish if you cant get to them, right? Todays ice augers, like the rest of our modern day gear, have come a long long way. With mobility and "Runnin and Gunnin" becoming ever more popular Ice Augers have had to evolve with the times. Todays ice anglers need a auger that is dependable and powerfull, light weight, fast cutting and easy to use. Nils USA recognized these modern day needs and developed a "Superior Auger for Leading Edge Anglers". NILS AUGERS are: POWERFULL and DEPENDABLE - Industrial grade TANAKA powerheads rated at 600 hours VS 240 hours for other common augers. FAST CUTTING - Cuts through 41" of ice in a amazing 12.2 seconds. LIGHT WEIGHT - Weighs only 22lbs with a 48" auger bit. EASY TO USE - No pressing down to cut through the ice, it does all the work, just hang on. VERSATILE - Great for permanent ice houses with its narrow handle design and center point blade assembly as well as you can take the powerhead off and put on the included hand auger handle and your ready for early ice. With a NIls Ice Auger you will cut more holes with less effort and fatigue wich means you can be more mobil, more efficient and this can result in what we all want. More fish and having more fun on the ice! Nils Augers are available in a 42" and 48" auger bits with 4 1/2", 6" or 8" cutting heads. All come with a center point that helps in re-opening holes and keeping the blades cutting right where you need. So no matter if your a weekend warrior or a avid "Runnin and Gunnin" ice angler, you owe it to yourself and your back to fish with the best - NILS ICE AUGERS. Northlander
Well finally getting to the point where the powerhead is needed on my Nils. Took it out the other day and zipped off a bunch of holes through 9" of ice and like I said above it was with ease. I had back surgery a few years back and every time I run my Nils I appreciate the lightness and ease of cutting more and more. For those who dont have good ice yet the Duluth area lakes are doing good. Finally getting a bit of snow as I type, so maybe Viking and all you snowmobilers will be on the trail by New Years. Cliff Wagenbach
I was out yesterday guiding a party of seven for panfish and drilled at least 100 holes with my Nils and my arms feel great today! Even after we cranked up over 200 crappies and sunnies! Cliff

Duffman
I'm on my third season with the Nils hand auger, the blades are as good as new. And at the rate this winter is going, my Lazermag might not see much ice time yet again this year. Yes, with the powerhead, that Nils is slick, without the powerhead, the Nils might even be slicker. Any non-Nils powerauger users out there want to try racing a Nils hand auger through 8" of ice? You will be suprised at the results, I know I was when I witnessed that type of contest 4 years ago.
