Auger question? Your advice is needed.

Alright guys I need some help. I am being offered a Strikemaster Mag 3 plus 8" for $190 and he will throw in his Mora hand auger as well. The power auger has never had gas in it and in fact still has the paperwork tie wrapped to it. Should I go for this deal or should I save up for some newer technology because I don't have the cash to go over $200 bucks? I also don't currently own a power auger.

What do you guys think. Yes or no? Thanks for all your help guys.

$190.00 for a strikemaster mag & including the hand auger, you will not find a btter deal, get it before he change his mind.

I would buy that as well in a heartbeat.

Once you save up a little more cash, order up a Strikemaster Lazer auger assembly & blades for it and you'll be all up to speed with "new technology".

I know a few guys who have Mag 2000s like this with the Lazer auger assembly and they are great augers, just as fast as the new Lazers.

nah- its my fault... I re-read it and can totally see how you caould have taken it wrong... Sarcasim is hard to do typing.. LOL

as many have stated.. this sounds like a great deal.. and even if you buy and decide it wasn't a good decision for you. .I would be willing to bet you could sell it and get most if not all your money back.
