Thanks guys for all your tips and good time.

Luckyfish,
Hope you and Dennis have a great time on Big Marine today.

Dagon Master, rushing, and sir snores a lot, it was certainly great meeting yu. You guys are great. You sure gave me some new ideas.

As always, Dennis, Dark, Sarge, Leah and BGR, you did your thing and really put the fun into high gear.

Dennis gave out reds on his 18' jet ski...err, I mean River Pro. he took Sirsnoresalot through some pretty tough water and handled it like a champ.

I think someone said he is planning on saving up his nickels to get one for himself after the ride. It's amazing, every River Rat who sees it is soon plotting a way to try and get one for themselves or they definitely sit back impressed with the River Pro boat.

Oh yes, let's not forget leah, what a champ. She was taking good care of Sarge and at least trying to keep him focused on fishing. He had one lapse and lost a way nice walleye about 5 feet from his position. Leah tried to help him but Sarge shrugged her off. Hey Sarge, when are you going to learn?

Dragon Master proceeded to load that Jon of his down pretty good. I believe he had about 3 inches above the water line when he took off. That bait system you invented is awesome. He had enough gear in there for 20 river rats. You had an awesome group in that Jon.

Sounds like the Channels are finally starting to tail off ojn their spawn in the Minnesota. I guess the Flatties will be next.

Keep us posted guys on how things are going..please??

That was fun!....Makes ya want to have more gatherings. Maybe we can have one down there this fall. Too bad the Blue Earth is rolling so fast but it dosn't take long to come down either. If I wasn't so shot from Friday night, I may have been able to stick it out and fished longer.

Hey Korn, did you stop in early? I don't think anybody was around at noon. Next time we could start a little later I suppose.

How about the guy who was [PoorWordUsage]ed at the world eh? Man, what a goofball! Too bad for his kid.

Iam ready for the nexted Riverrat meet, man that was fun. One of the best parts was the real big JET SKI. MAN that thing is unreal. Some day if fishhead can keep it down under 80mph I might just go for a ride grin.gif

It was good to meet all who showed up and to see some new river. Went 5mi up river a jam here and there and one 20foot hole. Found one bottleneck with fast water that I will have to come back to fish also found a good sand point that sat on a 18foot hole.

We will have to have a Bar-B-Q on the nexted rat meet. And to all who showed up it was good to meet you and looking forward to seeing you at the nexted meet....

As always Dark30 was a great host. And its always great to gather with old friends, and meet new ones!

I would like to comment on the quality anglers and in general all around good and friendly people, who I have met because of this great site, Rick has put together. We had an experience, of "meeting" someone at the landing, who, to put it as nicely as I can, was a total "jerk". He really needed to learn how to "have more fun"!!!

Leah and I didn't get there till late, but got to put some more faces to FM names. And then spent the evening sharing some shore and fishing with BGR, and Rick and Dark just up from us in a boat. And BGR is just another example of quality FM anglers, I had never met Brian before, but by the time the evening was done I felt like he was one of my old fishing buddies!!(and of course I pumped him for all the catfishing info I could)

Thanks everyone!

Sorry didn't make it everyone, really wanted to meet you all. but by the time I was done with the Jeep, which is still not 100% it was 4:00pm. But did go down to chaska yesterday morning and caught two whitebass and more than enough sheepheads to keep me busy. Sounds like it was a good time for eveyone. I'm game for it next time.

Good luck

You bet that the River Pro (big jet ski smile.gif)does not have to go that fast or in circles all the time.Matter of fact I usually drive "fairly" responsibly. smile.gifI am still 12 at heart and like to show it off! smile.gif
Maybee you,Kevin and I will hook up some time befroe the season is out and have a good time.We can take the River Pro and I will behave.

Thanks guys for all the info shared. I had a great time sorry I had to leave so soon but I had to get some rest for the LETS on Big Marine. It was great to see all the catmen I've been "listening in on" on the forums. Now that I have the boat I will be exploring the Mn around Mankato more. Maybe at the next gathering I will have some better info to share. All in all a great time, and Dennis thanks for the ride in that water rocket....er I mean the River Pro.

Dennis I will take you up on that. You and DARK will have to show me how to fish that part of the river. And some day you will have to come up to the part of the river that I fish. We have a lot more cover than what I seen down in mankato but then I seen only 5mi of it. Fishing with you and DARK could be fun, I just might have to much fun grin.gif

How meany river mi can you get on a tank of gas with that river pro??

Nice meeting up with the Sarge and Leah also, and a big thanks for the extra bait! The suckers didn't make it, but at least I have a bunch of cut bait now also. Many more
opportunities for cattin left this year. Holler if you want to check out some more shore spots. Don't forget , Horseshoe this winter for channels through the ice also!

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
