Is it worth it for you to spend $160.00 for a non-resident deer tag? I was debating this for the Wisc. Opener...

I live in wisc and if the price went that high for a liscense I would pay it. Im not that bright though

Depends how bad you really want to hunt. Several years back I hunted by grantsburg and it was great. Shot a nice seven pionter and ended up seeing 50 plus deer that day. Before I shot my buck I had 17 does and fawns walk under my stand, that was a first. Saw one big buck and no shot was available.I would really love to hunt Wisconsin again but I probly would be divorced if I did because of all the days I put in in Minnesota. My nefew and bro-in-law hunt in Wisconsin and live in Minnesota and they dont hunt in Minnesota any more, because of all the deer that they get. So to answer your Question I think yes its worth it. and the deer tend to have this cheese flavor (couldnt resist it.)

Yes it is absolutely worth it. I grew up in Wisconsin. Now that I live in Minnesota I have to pay the non-resident fees anytime I want to hunt there. Theres tons of BIG bucks there. Lots of agriculture so they are eating good. Nothing tastes better than a fat doe from Wisconsin. Do yourself a favor and buy a tag if you have a place to hunt there. Good luck!

Is there any public land worth hunting or is it just like MN? I live only 15 minutes from taylors falls and getting to northern WI would be not too hard.

well my friend's family has some private land in haywood so I was just wondering if it will be worth it is all. I mean, I did just spend over 2,000 on a shotgun set up and have only shot 16 rounds through it... 15 was for sighting it in.. 1 was a missed shot at 10 yards

This year I only bought a WI licence(bow)... and didn't buy a MN licence. For me I know of a ton more public land with plenty of deer in WI. For me, its worth the $160...
