Sutty
Can anyone fill me in why Gordo finished so crappy the last two weeks? I have been off the grid in the BWCA the last 8 days....
lawdog
Fuel pump quit in Kansas with like 30 to go while he was running in the top 10.Last week got swept up in "the big one" at Talladega after leading a bunch of laps and getting shuffled to the back just before it happened. lawdog
Oh and also that darn Harvey Lee put a hex on him!!!!
harvey lee
Because I had him picked for my fantasy points leaque. Really because of a common accident on the superspeedway tracks for last week and the week before if I remember a dnf for breaking.I dont remember what part but someone else will chime in. Jeff, you posted at the exact time as I,and yes the voodoo curse does work well.
eyepatrol
Lawdog pretty much has it right. Fuel pump quit on him with 23 laps to go while he was running 6th or 7th (he had a strong car on long runs) in Kansas. At 'Dega they had a pitstop where they took 4 tires instead of 2 or no tires, got shuffled back coming off pit road because of it, then a few laps into the run he got caught up in the "big one". harvey lee
Gordon has the bad luck monkey on his back and needs to get rid of it fast or time is going to run out on him.
eyepatrol
'Dega had me pretty worried when he got wrecked, but then when Burton got the flat I felt a little better. 250+/- points out when he wrecked, 150+/- points out after Burton's flat. I don't think any of the chase contenders can afford bad finishes anymore. They were all lucky Burton got the flat or he'd have a big lead. Someone will finish well in all of these final races and whoever does will win the cup IMO.
VMS
With Johnson and Jr both losing some points and burton not having a great day either, the points have tightened up quite a bit. Nobody is out of it yet since the point spread is only 185. should be fun to watch the last races to see just who comes out of things on top...Steve
Sifty
If I heard right, If Burton would have kept running in the fifth spot he would have put another 69 point between himself and second place. I think that may have been enough for the two last place people to be out of it.Sifty

xedge2002
I've been meaning to thank you Harvey, I can't stand listening to Gordon and love to see him wreck and finish in the bottom of the standings. Can I put in an early request for you to hex him at the beginning of next season?
harvey lee
Will he race better than that poor quallifing effort?
lawdog
It would be hard for him NOT to race better than that! What happened? He was not fast, but much better than that in practice...
LMITOUT
What happened in qualifying? I just tuned in to see him in 41st spot? Crash?
harvey lee
No crash,he was just plain old fashion slow.He said they unloaded slow.He also stated that his car will be good for the race. He will be very good in the race as he practiced for racing. The good drivers can come from the trunk and still win.Even if I dont cheer for Jeff you can NEVER count him out of any race, unless I pick him. Sutty
Last night I had a blast racing the cars at the Mall of America. If you guys ever want to get together and rent it out for an hour count me in. My first race was Bristol and I hit everything.... There is definately a learning curve... But by my last race I finished second to the #24 by .01 seconds at the Brickyard. What a riot. The beer at Hooters was cold beforehand!
harvey lee
It would be fun to have a get together at the Mall this winter and get a car and race.Problem is it would be a bit of a drive for the Lawdog and a few others.
LMITOUT
Martinsville Power Rankings at Nascar's HSOforum: #24: Drive for Five DNF's accomplished. I don't know if anyone reads the power rankings they have on there weekly but some of the comments are darn funny.
LMITOUT
I have officially decided that Jeff Gordon's eyebrow is actually thicker than Jimmie's.-from the Talladega power rankings.

OUTDOORNUT
I make an effort every time I'm in the area to make it in to Silicon Motor Speedway in the Mall. We rented it out and had it catered for my bachleor party a few years back and with 12+ guys it was really resonalable. The best part is you get to race longer races, different tracks, with or without the drons on the track. I'd be in for an FM day there and I'd have to drive from Duluth.
