Tomorrow is the start of 5 straight nights of fishing for me, I haven't had much opportunity to be out in the last month and I am chomping at the bit BIG TIME. The October full moon is this weekend, if you've been thinking about giving night fishing a shot this would be a good weekend for it - the forecast looks good too. I know what you mean cause I never miss the full mooon in october. We will leave tonite and fish the next 4 days. It looks like we might be in the same county fishing . I know we will hit winnie and a few others in Itasca county and Cass. Good Luck

Concentrate on the rocks and the points. We caught all our fish there. Nothing in the bay weed edges.

I'll be up there this weekend too!! This is the first time in 3 years of planning for the Oct. Full moon fishing that I am actually going(skipping out on a family reunion). Good info mark. I appreciate it!!

Well I got blown off Mille Lacs Friday night. Ended up do plan "B" a smaller local lake with a good population of eyes. The bite is on for many lakes acrossed the state. If the weather becomes an issue for big water definitely give the smaller lakes a try. We ended up catching 15 eyes between 14-22" Friday night and didn't need to play bumper boats.

Don't be afraid to hit the local lakes that folks like to open the season on. They'll be good now too.

The bite on Mille Lacs this past weekend was tough to beat. Lots of quality slot fish and some big girls up to 26" for my boat. I'm ready to go again but some guide trips and other things going on have me "restricted" to southern MN for a bit. The November full moon is only a month away! It's time to gear up again.

I just got back from a good trip on Mille Lacs, I have a post in the Mille Lacs forum about it. Temps are still a little higher than I like for a really good bite. I'm hoping to get back to Mille Lacs and to some other local lakes in the next few weeks, it's not over yet
