removing peep sight

I am changing to a peepless sighting system. I want to remove the peep sight. For the type of peep I have, they had to separate the bow string to insert the peep in the string. If I remove the peep, what will that do to the string in the area the peep used to be? Is there something I should do to the sting?

I think you will be fine.. rub a little extra wax on the string.
