Spin for a win

Recommended Posts

Do you like this type of racing (WWE on wheels) or would you rather see hard fought side by side clean racing for the win?

Hard racing like Kurt Busch and Ricky Craven at Darlington (I think that's where it was) side by side tires rubbing but both cars going forward or a spin and the race finishing under caution?

Put my vote for hard racing, green flag finishes.

That was the best finish I ever seen! I would love to see hard racing all the way to the end, I hate it when there is wrecks at the end, but with that many cars going for the win, that close and that fast, stuff happens! shocked.gif

Darlington and Rockingham had the best finishes.

too bad they are going bye bye mad.gif

My fav driver is MArk Martin followed by Matt Kenseth. I preffer clean racing. If you can't out drive him or he has better equipment then you deserve second. If putting him in the wall is the only way you can win well thats just plain talk. Its a good thing I don't race, I wouldn't be in favor of getting even. I would have a different mindset. Im more of the type that would think You put me in the wall just to beat me, I'm putting you over the wall and into the hospital to prevent it from happening again .

I much prefer clean racing too, but understand clean racing in a stock car does include some contact too I think... That Craven/Busch finish was awesome. I can also remember Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon running side by side for the win at Darlington for several laps at the end and it was good clean hard racing and no one got wrecked. That track leads to better racing (as did Rockingham I totally agree too, I loved that track) than the flat cookie cutters.

At any rate, HOPEFULLY some of this problem will be addressed by the C.O.T. debuting next year. This new design is supposed to really help eliminate the aero tight condition that has made passing almost impossible on high speed Nextel Cup tracks and made moving people a necessary evil there. On the short tracks there will always be bumping and banging...

Leave the spin for a win to Wheel of Fortune. I think a side by side close finish - with everyone facing the correct direction - is more entertaining to watch. When you are in the stands, everyone is up on their feet cheering, not shaking fists and jeering as with a spinout and caution at the end.
