Loonasea Im gone at the funeral and barriel all day thurs. Friday works better. It doesnt have the recirculator just manual and auto. I got some 5 amps and they work great but I still can only run it in manual now. Ill go get a timer and try that. Probably not til after we win the Hawg Walleye Hunt though. wink.gif

This is the case on some boats... on lunds they actually only use one pump and facilitate for recirculation with a valve that returns the water to the pump and back around...

Well guys the timer modul was the problem. The local shop wanted blood for it. Just as I thought they would.

So I called up Val and got it WAY cheaper from him and it was at my door the next day.

Popped the modul in and the livewell worked great.

Marine Man it was just what you said and where you said. Thanks a lot!

FM is great for stuff like this. Tons of guys with knowledge in many areas. Guys like Marine Man and Val to help us with our boat troubles. Thanks again guys!

I hope I dont need your help in the future but if I do I know Ill be in good hands.

Paul if your livewells work in manual but not auto I would bet thats it. Easy fix. The timer modul is probably the same one I had. Go behind the switch for the livewells and look for a round film canister type deal that has 5 prongs on it and its clipped into the livewell harness. Pop it off, test it or have a dealer test it and if its bad call Val and save yourself a lot of money. E-mail me if any questions. Its very simple though. If I can do it in 5 minutes Im sure you can handle it just fine.

Paul - I'm guessing yours is under the dash a little further... depending on your console arrangement you may need to remove a divider or a compartment in the console to get it... you may be able to get to it through the swich location, but it'll be a little tighter than what Northlander had...

Glad you figured it out Steve!

Well went out today and the livewell worked great but after about 2 hours the same thing happened. Livewell works on manual but not auto. Fuse is fine. Any ideas guys? Im thinking about putting a whole new harness on it and see if its in that.

Sorry Guys, I am out of timers right now, I used to have many of them, but this time of the year I don't have many parts.

Steve you;ve got the last one, and I had to look forever, I almost emailed you I was out. Paul I am really sorry, 3 months ago I would have dozens of them (they are actually Crestliner but it doesn't matter, they are made form same company).

Check your pumps, if they are dirty they might draw a little too much juice and burn the timer. If you can open them and clean the inside it might help.

I agree with Valv... perhaps there's some sand, etc that's requiring more current than what the timer module can handle.. try and flush them out a little bit.

You can try a new harness but I don't think that'll fix the problem... if it were a short (unless it's an errant short that only happens every once in a while) it's likely not the harness.

You probably catch so many fish and have to run the livewell pump so often your pump is just getting tired grin.gif

OK, Ok, guess what, I was doing some cleaning up around here and.....found another one.

Since you are desperate, and I am as bad as Exxon with the gas prices (I want same profit $$) I will have to charge you $ 10.29 billions, but if you come along one day and bring a case of Leinie Red I will mail it to you.

What's you address Paul, I can ship it today, send me an email.....
