Haven't been out much since getting back from algoma although I have been fortunate enough to enjoy a couple gorgeous days out on the lake. We've been getting a few trout and a few eyes here and there but nothing to write home about. I don't really hunt so I get a Brule itch this time of year instead. Steelies and Browns can't come soon enough!

It has been a tough summer. Very little camping and next to no fishing. The boat hasn't seen water in about a month frown.gif I've been playing alot of softball.

I am thinking of putting a fresh coat of camo on the duck unit here pretty quick cool.gif

probably go out on the Big lake on Saturday.

Too much work, not enough fishing, too many "projects" some, like my well pump were not welcomed. I am hoping this fall will go smoother so I can do more fishing and hunting.

I'm still looking for a new fishing buddy. My current one lives in Hermantown but has been whoring around alot since he isn't working.

Still fishing here!! smile.gif Fished the Bad River today for a half day... put six walleyes in the boat and a handfull of smallies.. Also, caught my first Lake Superior Large Mouth today as well...

Other then that... no hunting on the brain as of yet.. But, I have been seeing a very respectable 10 point a few nights in a row.... just outside of town...

Our trip up to Nipigon was met with rain and high winds so getting on the water was tough. We made the best of it and had a good time. BIggest laker was just shy of 40" brookie 20" and splake around 6pds. not lots of fish but a few nice ones.

Since I've got back I've hit the south shore 4 times and fishing has really picked up out there with plenty of hungary walleyes finally.

ive got one duck blind up and have the other one ready to go up thursday. Shot the bow the other night, looks like the shoulder is finally healed. Will be painting dekes and the duck boat in a few weeks. Early goose season is only a month away.

I can honestly say I've just about got my fill of fruitless musky fishing - for a day or two anyway wink.gif Too durn hot to go out anyways. Lookin forward to LOW for a week in Aug. The huntin itch starts about Jan 1st each year - archery anyway, I find other critters to hunt. Way past time for me to get the bow out and get dialed in. Time for a beer, have a good weekend all. Later.
