I had the same problem with my Global Map 4800. It's been awhile, but I think this is what I did to fix it....

1. Hit menu twice.

2. Go to "GPS Setup"

3. Check to see if it is set to the "Require WAAS" setting. If it is, then take it off.

I believe this worked for me. I could be totally wrong though..

WHEN USING THE LOWRANCE 334C WITH GPS IT KEEPS SAYING "POSITION LOST" AND THEN IT WILL SAY POSITION FOUND AND GO BACK AND FOURTH ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Send your 334c back to Lowrance and have them send you a 332c......the 334c has been a dismal failure to say the least......you can try the sofware upgrade or this and that but the bottom line is the the 334c is BAD probably the worst unit Lowrance has ever released....

The lighting for the display interferes with the internal antenna reception. First, turn down the backlighting a notch or two and if it works better then call Lowrance. They have new units with different displays now that work great.

I have a LMS-332C and have noticed that if my Battery is 12.5v and I select to display voltage with the LMS-332C on the brightest setting the voltage is 12.3v if I hit the power button and drop the intensity one notch the display dims and the voltage is indicated at 12.7v and if I hit it one more time the voltage display goes to 12.8 as the display dims again. My fluke meter hooked to the back of the unit still says 12.5 volts. I didn't expect the Voltage to match the Fluke but it seems the intensity of the LMS-332C affects the internal workings of the unit enough to affect how the computer/sensors are working.
