I was thinking about putting out my deer cameras, is this too soon?

When do you guys think horns will be fully developed?

I think I had mine out last fourth, but I don't remember seeing much for horns until later.

I have a friend that puts his out in approx 3 weeks and he usually gets some nice shots.I would think by the middle of August you would see about max growth.But ,you sure could put it out now and you should start to see them.Problem is you will start to see the deer and get the itch to go hunting sooner.

Dahitman... came across a roadkill this weekend. Nice little forkhorn, or sixpointer (didn't get a good count while passing by)...full velvet. Would think you could get some good shots. Would be fun to see the trophy you plan to harvest this fall in full velvet this summer.

I have had mine out for about a month now, they have plenty of antlers already so go for it. Besides you can watch them develop this way. Seen a real nice buck not far from where I hunt on Sunday, I mean a REAL nice buck 8 to 10 pointer. By all means put it out.
