Auto pilot is out of control.

My Auto pilot has become auto insane. It appears the compass has become confused and it cruises along fine then flips aroun 180 degres and tries to dump me out of the boat. Easy fix? Would this be covered by MinnKota as a warranty? I have heard about this before and was wondering what those that had this problem found out and where to I take it for FAST repair?

I think I know what the problem is. First, take out the little plastic tube and blow for a bit. When inflated, I believe a smoke is in order

It sounds like your compass board may be malfunctioning. Check minn kota's web site for an authorized dealer near you and bring it in. If your warranty is still in effect, they should take care of it no matter what the problem is.

That was the problem on my old Minkota.

Looks to me Jon that you are having more than your share of motor problems. Just maybe you should have kept the one you sold to me.She runs like a champ.Thank-You.

I had the same problem with my AP. Had to replace the contol board. I think it was approx $75-$100. Was pretty easy to replace. I think I got the part from Motor Clinic.
