wally-eye
I just purchased my 1st pickup camper. I've camped before, but have never owned my own. What do you think will be the 1st thing I'll forget to bring with?

fishnhooks
Wally-Eye, Like you, I bought my first pick-up camper last fall before deer hunting. I was also thinking what am I going to forget or load it up with. I don't think that I have enough room anymore One thing that I bought for the camper that actually did come in handy for someone in the deer hunting camp was a first aid kit. (wasn't a serious injury, just a cut.) There are so many things. Extra fuses for the camper, the other items mentioned (especially the beverages), Some basic tools incase something breaks, pots and pans, eating utensils, hot mits, man the list can go on "hooks"
Big Roy
Congrats on the camper. What kind did you buy? I am on my 3rd pickup camper, they just keep getting larger and larger. I bought my first in 1988 so I have appointed myself as the camper guru on this forum. If you ever have any questions we can help. Things you might forget or need. Propane, indoor bug fogger and bug spray also, trash bags, advil (see beer above) and paper products. I keep 2 of everything so I do not have to spend as much time packing. FISHINGFARMER
Wally-eye: Hope you enjoy the camper this summer.Throw some different thickness of plywood in.(1/4 to 1 Inch) cut wide enough for your tire width, comes in handy for leveling out the truck in unlevel spots. Nice to sleep straight, let alone making the fridge run correctly. Rope for close-line,saw for kindling wood, and a tarp to stretch between trees for rain and sun shelter. wally-eye
Thanks for all the advice. I just came back from Lake Vermillion on the maiden voyage with the camper. Everything worked great, except the fish didn't cooperate. Oh well. It's better than working.
