gunflint
Is it just me or does the red on Gamakatsu hooks seem to wash off in water? 1 or 2 fish and you're using a brass hook.
0 LMITOUT
Yeah, I've noticed the paint doesn't hold very long either. Nice hooks though. Their other colored hooks have some sort of coating on them that chips off but it takes more to do so. The red is just a paint and must be thin. 0 eyepatrol
You're right gunflint. Just a couple fish and the red comes off. I bought one package and that's it. Can't remember what other brand I bought, but I can catch all the fish I want and the red doesn't come off.
0 Northlander
I have had good luck with the Red VMC's.
0 SUNNYD
Diachii blood red have always been my answer. Just like the Gamakatsu's in terms of sharpness but always a little more durable...Take care!
0 Lost
The rep I talked to at the Sports Show about the Gamakatsu hooks said they're guaranteed to stay sharp. I also have noticed that the red doesn't stay red.
