Talladega Weekend

Figured I'd start a thread to DISCUSS the races this weekend at Talladega.

All I have to say is nice teamwork by Kyle Busch after he left his teammate high and dry when Vickers pulled to the outside for the pass on Truex. Those two were hooked up all race and could well have been the winning move if Ears Jr would have followed. Oh well. I guess we'll never know now.

True, but they might have had a deal to only lap 15 or something like that. It was nice to see Tony take the blame but it was still a bone headed move that took out a Busch regular.

Does a guy earn hack points in the Busch races?

The 8 was strong, I will give him that, and he usually is at the plate tracks but tomorrow is a completely different game.

Well that pretty much ruins the rest of this washed out weekend. Planned on watching the race for something to do while the rain falls for the third straight day. Cabin fever is setting in big time.

Yep, here too. Well, if nothing else, we can all work on getting gear ready for the opener, etc. now that we are less than 2 weeks away. Only one more weekend to try and stay sane, then relief from the mental stress!

Looks like I'll be setting the vcr tomorrow.

It was a good move if you are a Truex fan as he gave the race to him by doing that.

The cup race will still be a good one tommorrow,just a bad deal for the ones who cant watch.You can always check whats happenning on the net.

I was disappointed that the race, was post poned, but watching it right now. But a few of my coworkers were especially upset. They drove down to talledega last sunday and spent the week down there to watch the race, but had to come back to Marshall, because a few of them had to get back on the road (frieght hauling can't stop for rain), they were upset, but at least they were able to watch practice, qualifying, and the Busch race. Plus a full week of drinking with friends on vacation is still fun, but the nextel race was the whole reason for going down.

I thought 3:00 was a little early to call the race. I think they should have waited a couple for hours. They have lights at Dega, right?

No lights...that's why they had to make the call by 3pm CDT.
