Rain, Rain... Go Away!

What can you do? This is one of those Saturdays where it looks like the rain may never stop.

Rivers were starting to drop and water temp was coming up. Now we get all this rain.

I know most of the state needs it because of dry conditions and fire danger. So... I won't complain too much.

However, after raining all day yesterday and now looking like all day today will be wet, I'm getting a little antsy to get back out again.

And the only thing on TV today is the NFL Draft. Yuck!

Hundreds of crawlers on my driveway this morning, My bedding is at capacity in my bait fridge. Packed the wheel bearings on my puddle jumper boat, got the licenses on my pickup, 2 boats, canoe, and motorcycle. Now it's a waiting game!!! We will be fishing on Traverse under the canopy this evening, rain or not. Maybe a nap is in order!! Got some new anchor ropes, lighted bobbers... The stores are packed with those of us who should be fishing, golfing, boating.... There's a lot of us in the "same boat". I fished the St. Croix. Caught just enough fish so it wasnt too miserable putting up with the weather.

I had Friday off so I got out for some crappie fishing. Of the four hours on the water, it rained. Caught a bunch of crappie and a few bass. It is always good to be on the water!

2 days of straight rain here in Sterns county! Both days the Twinkies took a whooping to the Tigers. Surfing on the TV just gets plain old real fast!

SPENT ABOUT 6 HOUR ON THE CROIX 17 WALLEYES 8 KEEPERS LOADS OF SILVERS. SURE WAS NASTY AND COLD But it sure beat ICE fishing always love the opener. DLK

The fish were biting today if you braved that weather. Even got a 14" plus Crappie, the perch were nuts as were the annoying pike, from 14"-32".

Im dry now so It was worth it !

We sure could use some of your rain in this area! Vermilion is still around 1 foot to 1-1/2 foot low!

Doesn't look like it's going to let up any time soon looking at the radar! Quiet the soaker this one is.

But, look at it this way....better to have it now than in 12days, 15hrs, 30mins and 38, 37, wait no 35 seconds...I can't keep up!
