Pity the fool who lost his hunting spot

Recently someone made a post about some people out looking for hunting space just days before their hunting season and how silly that seems......well that guy is now me. I just received a call from the person who was allowing me to hunt. He said he is no longer allowing people there for the rest of turkey season (bow deer still in the air). I believe he is genuinely sorry, but he wan't to be firm across the board.

Apparently some less than respectful people made an incredible mess on his property, were "shooting clays" in their downtime and were grossly inconsiderate.

So here I am, 2 weeks from season G without a place to hunt. I do not have a area locked in as I will be hunting with a bow and haven't purchased a license yet. I still wish to hunt "G", would be willing to pay up to $150 or so to hunt somewhere ($300 between the 2 of us). My biggest problem is that I have school the next 2 saturdays and would only be able to make daytrips to scout on sundays. I'm not the lazy deadbeat mentioned in that previous post. If someone's willing to help I will prove it by showing up and giving it 150%. I've only been bowhunting for 1 year, but I can call, have a blind and would be satisfied as long as I can find birds. I'll decide the rest.

I know I'm making it more hopeless than it really is, but it is so hard to find turkeys on public land (tried that before) and where there are turks there are gun hunters in great numbers. I can't really scout pub. land right now cause people are out hunting every weekend.

ANy ideas, suggestions or connections with people who are compassionate to fellow hunters who don't own land? All input will be appreciated. I live in SW metro, but will travel anywhere. I have a camper to tow or I can sleep in tents if thats what it takes. JUst looking for a long weekend of May 12th.

I dont know where you can hunt as in zone.If you can hunt the Faribault area,I know of a few public spots that can be hunted with a pretty good turkey population.

I use to bow and gun hunt there for a few years and took a tom every time.I always hunt late April or early May and never ran into a hunter except for one year.If you can hunt this area and think you might be interested, send me a e-mail and we can talk.

Thanks to those who've replied. I'm not trying to steal anyones honey hole or anything and I didn't mean to sound so dire about pub. land. I'm just concerned about trying to scout during the season. I want to be safe and I don't want to disrupt anyone's hunt.

I'm still working on some options, so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears......or eyes as the case may be.
