Anchor Tie Downs

I was thinking of adding a couple of "gripper" tie downs on the bow of my boat for securing the anchor line to. With the bow mount trolling motor up front also would I get in trouble with boat sway and the anchor line crossing the trolling motor. I was thinking about putting these gripper tie downs on about a foot to a foot and a half away from the tip of the bow. Anybody have any experience or cooments? Thanks.

I put a bunch of them on like every 3' along the side for adjusting for wind direction and to move the boat left-right to different areas without using a motor

Its never been a problem for me and I have my anchor line attached close to the bow. The further from the bow you place your anchor cleat, the more you put the boats profile into the wind or current and the less holding power your going to have.

I put a caribiner, or what ever rock climbers call the thing they use for attatching their ropes, on my anchor rope. Then I snap it into my bow eye and it eliminates the rope moving back and forth across the bow.
