HEEEEEEEEEEE's BAAAAAAAAACK

Hello Boys!

I didn't forget about any of you FM crazies out there. Just been a little busy doing some painting and crown molding around the ole casa. As for opening night, it was a cold and rainy night in on the southside of Chicago, in the baddest part of town (pardon my Jim Croce-ism) but things were toasty warm in the skybox and the beer was ice cold. Kind of like the Indians, ice cold. Could it have been a more perfect opening day. The two biggest concerns were answered. 1- Was Jim Thome worth trading Aaron Rowand for? I think so, and with every 430 foot plus dinger, it becomes more obvious. 2- Could Brian Anderson fill the shoes of Rowand, I think he showed that he is up for the challenge both with his bat and his glove. Then throw Brandon McCarthy into the mix with 3 perfect innings of shut out baseball and things are looking good from this side of town.

I waited until my beloved lost to post this so everybody would not call me a fair weather fan. My beloved took their lumps today and I think it is because of one thing, that stupid World Baseball fiasco that some of the players decided to play in. I think it hurt Freddy Garcia as well as Carlos Zambrano on the North side of town, they were both rocked and looked like they did not have their "A" game stuff.

And speaking of not having his "A" game, what happened to the greatest player to have ever rubbed a rosin bag, tonight" Against the lowly Blue Jays" wow! I think he might be feeling the results of having played in that stupid tournament also.

So lets get it started, here are my prognostications for the 2006 season and as my hero says, "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD.....YES!"

AL CENTRAL

1- Pale Hose

2- Tribe

3- Mo Town Kitties

4- Twinks

5- Royals

Thoughts...Comments....Bring it on, senorita!

Now your talkin', Friendly! Geez, for a minute there I thought the Twinkie Police were going to come in and take away your fishin boat, what were you thinking putting the White Sox that high, 3rd. Good thing I talked some sense into you. Now let's sit back and watch the new season unfold around us. Injuns, 4th place, geez o' pete! LOL

windy, Whats up with Konerko? I picked that slug up in both of my fantasy leagues and he is hitless so far. Quick, when does he play against the twins, so he can get on a hot streek? Looks like a big waste of money in the off season for one good year.

Geno - Hey man I just got home from work and one of our ex cards Mr. Mabry whacked a two run shot to straight away center to pull the cubbies within one. You will love John Boy coming off the bench, good left handed power and the ability to hit in the clutch.

Is it just me or is Tori Hunter king of the meaningless homerune? I know he had a key double to put us up by a couple last night but it seams like everytime he hits a blast its when we are way ahead or way behind. He does it of some slappy pitcher that the other team is using to eat up some innings. Now if he hits one tonight to tie it or go ahead by a run i will appoligize.

Ok just see if windy remembers me.. I didnt post alot here but enjoyed reading the "daily soap opera" here ya go windy...

1st. Injuns... there offense will overcome the pitching

2 twins.. reason being we have a lil more power and a lil more experience ..

3.. the holy sox... money spent in the offseason this yr doesn't add up to a pennant..

4.. Da Kitties..well it IS Detriot and they aint as bad as kc!!

5. KC.. see above....

My gut feeling sez tho that the race for 1st thru 3rd comes down to the final 3 weeks of ballgames?? comments anyone?

Hey Buzz,

Welcome back. Glad to see an honest person amongst us with your picks, though, of course I think you got the first two out of order, LOL. Though you could not tell from the way my beloved have stunk up the field so far this year, looks like they are reading the Twinks play book, we are both battling for the cellar. The season is young and the race goes not to the swift but to the persistant.

Hey, did you do the Disney thing down there in Orlando? I am heading out Easter Sunday for a week of fishing and golfing in Florida. We will be heading for the Tarpon Springs area but we are going to trek over to Disney for a short two day mini vacation with some other family members who have an extra night's hotel room on property. I think it is called the Key West or something like that. Don't really know the details but it is a $500 a night room for free, so it can't be too shabby. Talk to you later, and as usual...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD....YES! Windy
