Bummer!

The switch has been made! The ice fishing has moved down and taken a back seat to open water. Oh well, time to move on and start to get the long poles ready.

I hope everyone had a sucsessfull hard water season and good luck this year on the open water.

I noticed the change as I was scrolling through the forums Dan! Can't wait to get my boat ready and have it hit some of the local lakes. Hoping it will be the middle of April for me (us in Central MN)!

To bad the season had a late start to it (in regards to safe ice-driveable ice). Maybe next year it won't be that way?!

The long poles and the boats...good time to clean out the mouse nests, and check to make sure everything is in order before taking it out on the water.

Danged rabbits seem to like chewing through wiring for the trailer lights? Noticed last fall when I drained lower unit that lubricant had the color and cosistancy of melted caramel...I'm taking the boat in on Tuesday to get lower unit seals redone before the rush begins. It will be water ready when the time comes. smile.gif

Ya want to talk about a BUMMER....My buddy and I had a guided brown trout trip planned for tomorrow in Milwaukee on the river there, but all the rain they got yesterday turned the water brown, and the guide said it wasn't worth trying! Missed it by 3 days! Now I have to spend the weekend with the wife instead of my buddy! Talk about a bummer! wink.gif
