Rookies...

Want a daunting task heading into Thunder Valley for your first Cup race. Anybody think a rookie will finish in the top 15? I don't.

Next week, not a lot easier at old Martinsville, except maybe for Hamlin who has been around Martinsville a ton in his past career. He'd be the only one I'd expect to do well there. Anybody think any other rookie can perform there?

Truex has lots of laps at both places to but I don't know if he has the skill yet to keep that cup car off the wall. Hamlin will be the highest finishing rookie I bet.

Yeley comes from usac were he ran alot of short tracks in all three cars but the stock car is totally different. I think he is only going to get better. Look at stewart he didnt do much in busch at all then gibbs brought him to cup and everyone knows the rest of the story.

Hopefully the bad weather doesnt ruin the whole weekend.A chance of snow tonight there and raining today.Great for the top point guys if that happens.Great place to start up front.

My pick for top rookie at this track---J.J. Yeley and Hamlin is due for a bad day.

Sorenson ran near the top in the busch races last year but who knows what will happen when he goes around the track with the big boys?

ALl these guys are good and I'm not cutting any rookie down. I'm just saying it happens almost every time. These short tracks eat rookies for breakfast!!!
