harvey lee
He had a great car,6 times he went high, admitted it didnt work and yet still at the end went high and lost more.I now believe that his problems are not within the crew but the head of the driver. He will never get better until he learns how to race.Average at best.I will now need to change cars as this ones driver doesnt have it.He just proved it again. Sifty
It seemed like he was trying to hard. It looked like the only person that the high line was working for was the 26 and at the end that did'nt work.Sifty
LMITOUT
I was frustrated too everytime he went to the outside since with the current rules package the outside hasn't worked at all for anybody. He would almost make the pass but then run out of help, along with anyone else that tried it. I suppose he had to try at the end because riding around single file isn't going to win you the Daytona 500 either.........I have to say that maybe this was an eye opener for The Unibrow. Stop wrecking and driving like a fool and you might win a race or two on a superspeedway. He even admitted (finally over a year later) that he caused wrecks in the past and wasn't helping himself so he ran a smoother race today and what do you know, it paid off. What a revelation! JohnMickish
Obviously you guys heard that Jr. said he had no friends today. Do you think that's because they think he has won to much or he has hung one guy to many out to dry? It was very clear today that his buddy list is getting short. After today I think Stewarts is even shorter.
eyepatrol
I'd have to agree that the list of guys who'll run with Junior is falling by the wayside. Guys would follow him on the outside, but the first chance they'd get, they'd be heading to the inside part of the track. Junior has left many a driver hung out to dry in the past, and I don't think the other drivers have confidence in following him anymore. This is gonna get the Jr fans upset probably, but Jr just isn't a team player, not in the least bit.
AQUAJOE
Tony would run with him in a second. But Tony had to run through the pack twice from the rear and still took 5th. That was without any friends with him. I Guess he felt like he didn't need to win 2 days in a row.
harvey lee
Waltrip said he would also run with him, only problem he was not close enough, same with Truex.
lawdog
The reason everyone isn't dying to run with the 8 anymore is because he's not the dominant car he was a few years ago on the plate tracks. Used to be you hooked on to the 8 and the 15 and went to the front. Now their cars aren't head and shoulders better than everyone elses and so there is no reason to want to or need to run with them. They didn't win a plate race last year and didn't look that strong today either. Racers are oportunists the only reason they run with anyone is to help themselves and Jr. isn't the big dog anymore so they don't need him. PERCHJR
To ALL you Jr fans, seems to me that he led the most laps??? And I guess all the other girls on the track wanted to run in the line like a train and didn't have enough @#$%^ to pass anyone??? GO FIGURE!!! So anyways you guys should think about things before bashing him, seems to me he still has a pretty dominant car, he was in 5th when he went for the lead instead of pulling the train like everyone else??? HUH!!! GOOD LUCK AND GOOD FISHING!!!
JohnMickish
First off, being popular has nothing in common. Case in point, Kurt Busch is a very good driver and very unpopular. Martin Truex got voted in to the all star event at Lowes last year without ever leading a points paying race, proving being popular helps with the fans but nobody knows if he is good at cup level or not yet. The only lap that counts (and that fans remember) is the last lap. You can lead the most laps in every race of the year but if you don't win who cares. Nobody remembers who let the most laps. Without looking it up, who led lap 62?
