HOWA varminter supreme

I am looking at purchasing one of these in .223 or 22-250. Do you all know anything about these gun? if so fill me in, how is their quality and reputation? I was also thinking on a remington also. I like this one because it has the thumbhole laminated stock and stainless bull barrel.

I don't own the varmit gun but my son has a Howa 1500 in .308 and a friend has one in .30-06. Both have been very good hunting rifles and shoot very good groups. Howa makes good stuff and made the Weatherby Vangard for years.
